Sigma announces the second generation of the ultimate professional all-rounder, its 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art II: a significant evolution in both performance and size.

The new Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art II is composed of 19 elements in 15 groups, featuring five aspherical lenses, two SLD lenses, six FLD lenses capable of correcting aberrations and sagittal coma, and an 11-bladed rounded diaphragm. Internally, the change in pace is dictated by the insertion of a new linear motor in place of the stepping motor used in the previous model, a sign that it is designed to match the performance of the latest generation of mirrorless camera bodies.

The lens barrel has undergone a 10% slimming treatment, with a length of 120mm and a diameter of 88mm. On the side, you can find a customizable button and the de-click switch to disengage the aperture ring.

The Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN Art II is available with Sony FE and Leica L mounts at a price of €1349.
